Warriston variety of the month

A monthly selection of fruit, veg or flowers that flourish on the Warriston site. Find more in our variety archive

February 2019—A Variety of Local Suppliers

This month, we’re responding to a plot holder’s request for local producers to be listed.  Buying bare root, seed and plants that are grown in your own neighbourhood is a wonderful way to be kind to the planet (less air miles, fewer pesticides, less danger of importing disease etc) while celebrating and supporting the amazing growers on our doorstep.

Here are just a few recommended plants people Warriston plot holders have ordered from. For more go to to the Useful Links button available on the Warriston navigation bar at the top of all our website pages. And please do get in touch if you have any more recommendations!
