Tea, coffee and home-made cakes were served afterwards. 2022 Our first meeting since 2019 due to Covid was held at 102 Ferry Road. About 25 people attended and we enjoyed talks about shredding by Richard Johnston and Warriston wildlife by Barbara Simmons. Refreshments were served after a lively question session. 2020/2021 These were both cancelled due to COVID 19 restrictions. The committee had its first meeting in 2021 in April and has ended the year with a final October meeting. Our next meeting is in January 2022. 2019 Our meeting at the Botanic Garden in RGBE's beautiful David Douglas Room included talks by Andy Jarman on bees and Ben Dell on organic growing. Thirty six people attended and as well as a catch up on Warriston news, tea and coffee were provided, it was an informative afternoon. 14 people have signed up for the committee 2020. 2018 Our meeting at the Botanic Garden in RGBE included an informative talk by mycologist Stephan Helfer who promises to visit the site next year with some tips on growing mushrooms, a good discussion about plans for Warriston and some excellent homemade cake, coffee and chat. Four new members of the committee signed up bringing our number to a very healthy 15. |
