Plant Sale and Autumn Harvest Event

May Plant Sale
A very popular annual event held in the main car park since 2017. The plant sale is held in early to mid-May.

Vegetable, fruit, herbs, and flower plants, grown and donated by Warriston plotholders, are on sale. There are bedding plants from Pentland Plants and straw bale sections for your strawberry plants on offer. We have a bric-a-brac stall with gardening tools and equipment. The Warriston café is open to sell coffee, tea and delicious home baking.

​This event is organised by volunteers from the committee and plotholders who give their time and enthusiasm. If you are sowing seeds in the spring, how about potting up a few to donate to the sale. All the money raised is for Warriston Allotments Association and suggestions for spending money is always welcome.

​Keep an eye open for posters and newsletters telling you when it is, and come and join us for a bargain, a blether and some cake. All plotholders, family and friends are invited.

This started in 2023 and is proving popular. It is held in September and is a celebration of our growing season. The committee invite you to enjoy home-made soup made from our site produce, tasty savoury bakes and cakes, tea and coffee in the Warriston café. There is a table of seasonal produce on display and tasting sessions are held.

This social event is free of charge, and is the committee’s way of saying thank you for your support at the Plant Sale and throughout the year. Watch the notice boards and newsletters for information.
