Each year FEDAGA members can order seed potatoes, onion and shallot sets, leek seedlings, and garlic bulbs at a substantial discount. The order form is issued in mid-summer, either online or as a paper copy. Orders are collected and collated into the Warriston site order in mid-September.
The orders are delivered to the site the following year. Potatoes, onions and shallots in February, Leeks in early June and Garlic in October. Sixteen varieties of potatoes are supplied in 1kg bags, about 10 – 15 tubers. Onions are 250gm bags and shallots are 500gm. Lancelot leeks come in bunches of approximately 50 seedlings which are trimmed and ready to plant out. Two varieties of garlic bulbs and Elephant garlic cloves.
There is an allotment shop at Inverleith Allotment which sells surplus items in February, June and October. All information is posted on notice boards and this website.
